Role and Purpose:PLM Data Integrity
- Train and become an expert in FlexPLM for Yarn
- Own the ongoing maintenance of PLM to ensure correct information in being shared cross functionally.
- Input all fabric performance information in PLM.
- Manage the data integrity in PLM.
- Issue all seasonal Sample Yarn orders to suppliers.
- Organize and maintain seasonal yarn binders.
- Assist the Yarn R&D team with seasonal trend research for fabric concept presentations.
- Organize, schedule, and attend mill, supplier appointment and local trade shows.
- Manage accurate and updated FIS/QPS sheets for all raw materials.
- Attend weekly internal cross functional meetings with business partners to understand all product needs.
- Track and send packages.
- Check in seasonal yarn submits and track all quality and color approvals.
- Maintain the yarn library organization.
- Assist with tracking and tracing sustainable attributes for all raw materials in addition to acting as liaison with Fab Scrap to coordinate all upcycling activities.
- Develop an understanding of JCI ‘s testing protocol.
- Degree in Textile Design or Textile Engineering or related study preferred.
- Strong knowledge of yarn, knitting, and sweater construction with an understanding of Madewell’s aesthetic
- Strong analytical and computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PLM)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build alignment and partnerships with cross functional teams and mills.
- A detail-oriented, organized problem solver
- Ability to work well under pressure, operate with a sense of urgency, meet deadlines and multitask.
