Job Summary Reporting to the Vice President of the Distributor Group the Product Account Manager is an in-office position that will play a crucial role in managing the sales and rental process in the Safety Equipment Division. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
This position is working full-time, on site in the company distribution center
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Salary: $70-90K annually Responsibilities
Manage existing and new accounts, assisting customers with product sales and rentals via phone and email and in person visits
travel limited to about 1x per month, all travel located in the North East and usually does not require overnight stay.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and technical support in a timely and professional manner.
Assist clients in identifying project requirements by reviewing contract site plans and specifications
Communicate to customer technical product details based on project application.
Candidate must have a technical aptitude to become proficient in the technical aspects of Product lines.
Coordinate with the sales team to identify equipment availability, pricing, and terms for rental or purchase.
Prepare and process rental and sales orders accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and pickup of equipment to/from clients.
Daily coordination in our software systems.
Assist in marketing efforts by promoting available products.
Stay updated on industry trends, equipment specifications, and pricing to effectively advise clients and make informed recommendations.
Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and industry events as required.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines at all times.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree.
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or rental coordination within the construction and/or transportation industry is highly desirable.
Person must be comfortable reviewing schematics/plans/drawings
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience with SAP B1 or other ERP a plus.
Technical aptitude and/or ability to review contract site plans, technical specifications and product drawings.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and contract preparation.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Knowledge of safety/construction/transportation equipment and terminology a plus.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
