Title: Structured Finance Associate

Office Status: Hybrid-NYC

Salary: $150,000-$180,000

A private credit fund and advisory firm that launched 3 years ago and already has over $1B in AUM. They specialize in collaborating with FinTech companies to structure, sponsor, and invest in innovative finance solutions to fuel growth in NYC.

They are going through significant growth from both a client and aum perspective. As a result, they are looking to make a key hire that will report directly to the CFO and have significant influence over the development of the team as well as carry in the fund. The firm runs very lean which in result will allow this person to wear several hats. This is not a 100% accounting position, they Finance Associate will assist with investor reporting, fp&a projects, assisting in the management of their lending and loan vehicles from an operational standpoint and interact heavily with the front office.

Responsibilities

• Create monthly and annual financial statements and reports in SAGE for loan portfolios and fixed income investments.
• Work closely with the investment team to reconcile and report collateral performance and administrative requests.
• Manage day-to-day cash reporting and reconciliation and cash flow forecasting.
• Develop reports for investors and lenders based on cash and accrual-based financial performance.
• Manage and coordinate with outside auditors and tax preparers as needed to support quarterly and annual audit and tax workstreams.
• Lead the review of income tax projections and returns, tax compliance and reporting, and other tax matters / research as needed.
• Assist with investor reporting and compliance as needed.
• Develop management reports, budgets, variance analysis, and other project specific work on an ad-hoc basis as required.

Qualifications

• CPA required.
• Prior structured finance and credit product experience required.
• Deep experience with SAGE Intacct and loan portfolio accounting.
• Tech-savvy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (specifically QuickBooks and Sage Intacct).
