About the Job
Madison Energy Infrastructure ("Madison" or "MEI") believes in the power of clean energy infrastructure and has quickly emerged as a preeminent developer, investor, asset owner, and operator of distributed generation. This role represents a critical next step in MEI's evolution toward offering direct, end-to-end services to Fortune 500 corporates, public entities, nonprofits, and other private customers alike and building out development pipelines to finance renewable energy projects with our development partners.
The Project Manager role at MEI oversees dynamic distributed renewable energy projects within one of the United States' fastest-growing energy industries. This role will leverage expertise in managing the construction of renewable energy projects across their design, construction and closeout phases. These projects vary in size and complexity, encompassing everything from smaller rooftops to expansive ground-mounted solar PV and/or battery energy storage systems spanning the nation. What You'll Be Doing:
    • Oversee full completion of all assigned projects in collaboration with various stakeholders.
    • Identify and resolve critical construction conditions, risks, and issues.
    • Audit compliance with project safety plans and OSHA regulations.
    • Ensure compliance with and documentation of all project deliverables (EPC Agreement, Power Purchase Agreement, Lease Agreement, Interconnection Agreement, permitting regulatory, etc).
    • Monitor and manage subcontractors and construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget through site visits, meetings, and accurate documentation.
    • Assess completed work and manage invoices to guarantee appropriate payment to suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Manage project budgets and ensure cost control for subcontractors.
    • Facilitate any applicable equipment selection and procurement processes.
    • Review project designs and schedules with a focus on compliance with key requirements, MEI's specifications, and timely project completion.
    • Act as MEI's representative in all project meetings, and represent MEI in interactions with external stakeholders including clients, vendors, customers, contract counterparties and facility/property owners.
    • Facilitate MEI's internal processes surrounding Independent Engineering review/validation and tax/bank equity financing.
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with all project stakeholders (internal and external).
What We Are Looking For:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Building Construction, Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent education/experience.
    • Electrical or Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent education/experience preferred.
    • Minimum 2 years' experience managing Photovoltaic construction projects or equivalent experience.
    • OHSA 10- or 30-hour certification required.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
    • Proficiency in Windows applications: word processing, spreadsheets, and email.
    • Proficiency with project management tools and software, coupled with strong analytical skills for efficient data analysis and interpretation.
    • Proficiency in interpreting technical documents, blueprints, and project plans to ensure alignment with project objectives.
    • Utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance workplace productivity.
$92,000 - $150,000 a year
Actual salary offered may vary depending on job-related factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
