Position SummaryThe Landscape Project Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple landscape projects, ensuring that each job site is adequately supplied with materials, equipment, and tools. This role demands strong organizational and communication skills, along with the ability to effectively manage a Spanish-speaking team
KEY RESPONSIBILITES
- Project Planning and Coordination
- Review each installation calendar for upcoming projects.
- Produce field sheets for each project
- Secure necessary materials for each job, including:
- Scheduling sod, hardscape materials, and concrete deliveries
- Submitting plant orders and rental equipment requests
- Submitting site locates via 811
- Conduct site visits and review project scopes with designers to fully understand the logistics.
- On-Site Management
- Meet with installation team members on-site to review project details and provide details and help with logistical instructions.
- Monitor goals to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Deliver additional materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Monitor the progress and quality of work, to align with the specifications of the quote.
- Before project completion, review every line item in the quote with the foreman to confirm all work is completed.
- Client and Team Communication
- Communicate any necessary change orders to the Production Manager before proceeding.
- Notify the Production Manager when a project nears completion to schedule a final client walkthrough.
- Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance
- Ensure assigned vehicle and equipment is cleaned daily.
- Check and maintain vehicle and equipment fluids daily, reporting any concerns to the Production Manager.
- Understand and maintain relationships with equipment rental and repair vendors
- Additional Responsibilities
- Assist other departments as requested by management.
- Perform snow removal services during winter months.
- Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.
- Plan Proactively: Anticipate project needs and potential challenges to ensure all materials and resources are ready ahead of time.
- Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and open lines of communication with all team members and clients, to avoid misunderstandings and ensure smooth project execution.
- Stay Organized: Keep detailed records and manage schedules meticulously to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Adapt and Problem-Solve: Be flexible and ready to handle unexpected issues or changes in project scope efficiently and calmly.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Encourage a collaborative work environment by supporting and guiding team members, especially when there are language barriers.
- Maintain High Standards: Ensure that all work meets the quality and standards of Madison Lawn & Landscape, reflecting the company's commitment to excellence.
- Prioritize Safety: Uphold and enforce safety protocols to protect all team members and maintain a safe work environment.
- $25 - $30 per hour depending on qualifications
- Regular hours: 40 hr/ week Monday - Friday. Weekend work and overtime hours available and, at times, may be required.
