General Responsibilities: Under general supervision assist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of school meals. Promote positive attitude and teamwork in the lunchroom in order to provide a pleasant experience for students.
Examples of Duties:
Collect cash and report meals from students and adults including computer operation.
Distribute food in proper portions.
Clean tables, kitchen equipment and general food service area.
Maintain student account records.
Other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of day long ServSafe Program on food safety and sanitation procedures before probation is completed.
Work requires walking, lifting, climbing, bending, reaching and kneeling.
Ability to operate a personal computer.
Ability to ensure timely heating and serving of meals.
Experience working cross-culturally and/or commitment to work toward one's own cultural competence, i.e., valuing difference/diversity, recognizing personal limitations in one's skills and expertise, and having the desire to learn in these areas.
Six months of food service experience.
Must have reliable means of transportation to work each day.
Three months of cashiering, customer service, or related experience.
