Madison Pointe is Hiring a Medicaid Specialist Near Port Richey, FL

Medicaid Specialist for two skilled nursing facilities. Full time Mon-Fri 8A to 4:30pm.

Madison Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center is seeking a qualified Medicaid Specialist to join our team. As the medicaid specialist you will be responsible for all aspects of the medicaid process, including determining eligibility, processing applications, and obtaining and submitting all necessary documentation to Medicaid office. This is a hybrid position that requires travel between two buildings.

Medicaid Specialist Key Duties:

  • Verify Medicaid eligibility for residents
  • Works one on one with residents, responsible parties, and families to ensure Medicaid Application process starts within 24-48 hours of admissions; any admissions that will become Medicaid Pending.
  • Educates residents, responsible parties, and families in the Medicaid Process and communicates documents required to complete the Medicaid Application.
  • Informs the facility administrator promptly if there is no cooperation or a delay in cooperation from a resident, responsible party, family in the Medicaid Application Process.
  • Ensure complete confidentiality of financial, HIPAA protected information of residents.
  • Stay updated on Medicaid regulations and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Perform other job-related duties as they become required.
  • *Medicaid Specialist Qualifications:
  • Must have one year experience in Long-Term Care.
  • Must be efficient, maintain confidentiality, exhibit good judgement, and be able to speak and write effectively. Effective communication and people skills
  • Knowledgeable of all Medicaid legal regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate understanding the basics of working in the business office and importance of following established processes.
