We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and ensuring timely reimbursement.
Duties:
- Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies
- Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
- Utilize medical coding to ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim rejections, denials, and appeals
- Maintain patient billing records and respond to patient inquiries regarding billing issues
Experience:
- Proficiency in ICD-10, DRG, and medical coding systems
- Experience in medical collection practices
- Knowledge of medical terminology, records, and office procedures
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
