Magic Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking to add a full-time veterinary technician to our friendly team.

The ideal candidate:

• Veterinary technician with 3 years of current, hands-on experience
• Willing to assist throughout the hospital, as needed (phones, kennels, cleaning, etc.)
• Compassionate team players with great communication skills
• Self-starters who can self-direct and move quickly from task to task, while still paying close attention to detail
• Hard workers who remain calm in busy and ever-changing environments

Primary responsibilities (based on experience)

• Anesthetic monitoring
• Dentistry: prophy and radiographs
• Surgical assistance
• Drug calculations
• Patient handling and restraint (small animal and pocket pets)
• Venipuncture
• Sample collection
• Client communication and education
• Outpatient procedures
• Medication administration
• Microscopic evaluation
• Pharmacy duties and lab work
• Assisting throughout the hospital as needed

Full-time benefits:

• Hourly rate: $18-$22/hour (BOE and credentials)
• Bonus package: $2,000 (CVTs)
