We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Team Lead for our warehouse operations in the cabinet manufacturing sector. As a Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our warehouse, driving team performance, and upholding the highest standards of quality and safety.
Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the ideal candidate would lead and manage warehouse operations to oversee the efficient handling of materials and products, both within and outside the facility. Focus on accurate and timely shipping to meet customer demands while upholding strict adherence to company policies and procedures.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead all shipping, receiving, and picking activities performed by warehouse staff; Maintains a high degree of visibility and access to employees in the warehouse throughout the shift.
· Lead crew members by example, train team members, and escalate staffing issues. Ensures that the crew follows all established policies and procedures.
· Maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, and accuracy.
· Review, prioritize, and organize all orders to be picked up and/or shipped.
· Report on equipment maintenance as needed in breakdown situations.
· Responsible for the entire document flow of the receiving and shipping office, includes recording and finalizing shipment records as needed.
· Performs required administrative tasks; Prepares required reports and correspondence.
· Help with inventory activities; Oversees the inventory control process, including but not limited to check-in/check-out, liquidation, and inventory reconciliation.
· Supports team members from other departments in resolving warehouse-related issues.
· Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems related to the work area.
· Participates in ongoing training opportunities and supports the continuous quality improvement environment.
· Supports safety programs and all required safety training for the crew.
· Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
· Can effectively communicate with cross functional teams.
