The pricing analyst has oversight of Spunlace-Sontara segment commercial pricing . This position will require strong collaboration with our commercial leaders and their teams. The pricing analyst will be responsible for assisting with modeling the tactical market opportunities in line with our broader business strategy.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting commercial leadership team in pricing new business opportunities for new and existing customers
- Issue monthly financial forecast (standard margin P&L); communicates with corporate finance and controllership as well as sales leaders outlining major trends and actionable items
- Assists with quarterly customer pricing updates for pass-through agreements
- Collaborates with commercial, innovation, and operation teams, and other finance and accounting functions on the development of customer product pricing associated with new products, existing products, and supply contract renewal.
- Employ market research to help inform product management decisions on market trends
- Support category leader with portfolio analysis requests
- Conduct monthly price change analysis and reporting for all customers within segment
- Analyzes and communicates customer, product, and market segment profitability to drive the organization towards sustainable, profitable growth
- Communicates financial information to a variety of functions and levels of employees
- Collaborates with various teams (commercial, procurement, sourcing, IT) to ensure accuracy and promptness of requests
Qualifications
- Education & Experience – Bachelors degree in a relevant field. Demonstrated competency in pricing and analysis. Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience required. Business analytics, financial modeling, finance business partnering, data visualization and presentation skills required.
- Travel - Ability and willingness to travel up to 10-15% (including international travel) in order to fully engage with commercial and innovation leadership, to understand pricing strategies and collaborate with commercial, innovation and finance leads and teams. Travel locations Western Europe and East Coast United States.
- Computer Skills – Demonstrates advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel & data base experience. SAP, Business Analytics experience preferred. Able to create complex business models using data from multiple sources.
