CM is Hiring a SBA Loan Servicing Specialist (Hybrid role) Near Sartell, MN

POSITION SUMMARY
Provides advice and operational support for Small Business Administration (SBA) loans to lending and credit staff in the areas of credit presentations, loan closings, draws, file completions, servicing, and reporting. Maintains SBA loan files according to SBA and credit union policies, procedures, state, and federal regulations. Provides back-up support for loan disbursing. This position is a hybrid role within the state of MN. It will consist of remote work with periodic days in the office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•Assists with input of SBA loan information within SBA loan application platforms.
•Assists with engagement and review of SBA specific third-party vendors (Environmental, 4506-C, Business Valuations).
•Responsible for disbursing and documenting SBA proceeds.
•Verifies that borrower's equity injection to the project (cash, real estate equity, other) is documented, accounted for, and reconciled to Uses of Funds prior to initial disbursement of Magnifi Financial funds.
•Responsible for post close servicing of SBA loans including loan closing and the reviewing and storing of SBA closing documents. Ensures proper boarding on core system, reviews business insurance, ensures the perfection of collateral, completes loan extensions, assists with guarantee purchase requests and SBA Reporting.
•Communicates regularly with Commercial Lending team, SBA loan borrowers, and SBA staff throughout all phases of SBA loans.
•Responsible for answering questions, communicating status updates and documentation requirements in the origination of SBA loans to Magnifi Financial staff and members.
•Assists Commercial Banking Officers, Assistants, and other teams in the application, processing, and closing of SBA loans to ensure compliance with SBA requirements.
•Assists in the sale of SBA loans to the secondary market.
•Functions as the primary contact for SBA loan servicing requests related to loan history, payment applications, collateral changes, interest rate adjustments, loan maturity extensions, pre-payments, entity changes, etc.
•Assists with government guaranteed lending report.
•Keeps abreast of eligibility and documentation requirements of the SBA program.
•Provides back up in reviewing loan documents, disbursing loans, indexing loan documents to electronic storage system and internal loan reporting.
•Assists with training of SBA procedures to ensure the commercial lending and credit teams are kept updated on SBA policies and procedures.
•Uses the sales process to identify and recommend products and services to members based on financial need. Makes referrals to appropriate departments.
•Actively participates in community relations efforts to contribute to the mission and visibility of Magnifi Financial.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•Two-year degree in a business-related field plus two years' experience in commercial lending; or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through a minimum of three years related work experience.
•Two years' experience working with the SBA 7a programs required.
