Temp Senior Scientist - Infectious Disease

Pay Range: $51.06 - $83.27/hr

Onsite Role in Tarrytown, NY

6 Month Contract

The Temp Senior Scientist will join the Infectious Disease group. You will be responsible for independently carrying out experiments to support the discovery of antiviral therapeutics.

As a Temp Senior Scientist, a typical day may include the following:

• Running assays including ELISAs, cell-based virus infection assays, and other in vitro assays
• Carrying out molecular experiments including PCR, cloning, and nucleic acid isolation/purification
• Western blotting
• Maintaining cell cultures
• Performing in vivo experiments using mice
• Maintaining records of results and carrying out data analysis
• Presenting your work to the broader team

This role may be for you if:

• You are able to work independently or as part of a team on multiple projects in parallel
• You have strong communication and time-management skills

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience or a BS/MS and 8 years of relevant experience. Must have experience with animal handling/in-vivo techniques (IV injections, blood collection methods), cell culture, cell based assays, and molecular biology techniques. Experience with viral infection assays is preferred.
