As we continue to expand our team, we are seeking a talented Data Entry Clerk who shares our passion for precision and attention to detail. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our project team by providing project setup and design assistance for distribution and transmission natural gas pipeline projects. Join us in our mission to deliver exceptional engineering solutions and contribute to the growth of our company.Primary Function: Under general direction, the Data Entry Clerk is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining project-related data into the various systems of the Company. This individual ensures that project managers and stakeholders have access to up-to-date and reliable data for decision-making and reporting purposes. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of project data and supporting effective project management within the organization.
This is an on-site position in the Hartselle, AL office.Pay range is $17.76 to $26.64 depending on experience. Duties And Responsibilities
  • Enter, update, and maintain project data in various databases.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all project-related information entered into the system(s).
  • Embrace a “trust but verify” approach, adept at asking probing questions to unearth root issues and ensure thorough understanding.
  • Generate reports and summaries based on the input data.
  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to gather necessary information for data entry.
  • Verify data for errors and inconsistencies, making corrections as needed.
  • Organize and file project documents and records in a systematic manner.
  • Adhere to data entry procedures and guidelines to maintain data security and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as required by assigned projects.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Understanding of project management and accounting terminology.
  • Proficient with various administrative software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software (Microsoft Project, Unanet, etc.).
  • Familiarity with project documentation and reporting requirements.
  • Good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot errors.
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to compile, review, and reconcile data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Ability to prepare and/or maintain project plans, reports, documents, and procedures to address specific project needs.
  • Ability to adjust to a fast‐paced environment and meet project
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise
  • Ability to assess personal workload demands and proactively communicate, flagging instances of potential overwork or underutilization.
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or the equivalent plus at least two (2) years of related data entry experience OR an equivalent combination of education and
  • Experience with project management software is preferred.
  • Knowledge of accrual-based accounting methodologies and practices (for fixed price projects and time and materials projects) is preferred.
  • Natural gas or utility experience is a plus.
