**Coffee Sales – Job Description**
Job Summary: Professionally represent Mahaska in all existing accounts. This includes business within our Coffee, Micro Markets, Beverage, and Snack Accounts in Iowa. Service assigned retail customers according to scheduled call frequency. Achieve monthly sales volume, distribution, and other goals assigned by the Marketing Manager.
Reports to: Marketing Manager
Job Responsibilities:
 
  1. Understand and promote the company's marketing strategies for all product packages and categories. Promote products in accounts in line with these strategies.
  2.  Coordinate with the Marketing Manager, Chief of Operations, and CFO on bids and proposals for all major accounts, commission structures, equipment needs, and personnel needed to operate and grow the company.
  3.  Regularly call on new accounts daily. When deviating from the set schedule, inform the Marketing Manager.
  4.  Develop relationships with key people at the store level. Use relationships to promote an analytical approach to Mahaska brands.
  5.  Aggressively pursue new accounts and placements.
  6. Present all authorized company programs to assigned and new accounts. This includes actively participating in their incentive and/or promotional programs.
  7. Monitor competitive activity and report activity to the Market Manager.
  8. Become familiar with all products including:
  • New England and Wis-Pak Products
  • All Bunn Equipment
  • OC System
  • Micro Markets
  • Advertising Programs
  • Product Attributes
  • Pricing
  • Category
  • Retail price points
  • Competitive brands within the category
9. Update product knowledge and procedure methods by attending and participating in sales and sales training meetings.
10. Have a thorough understanding of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
11. Have a thorough understanding of tools such as Service Policy and Market Channel Characteristics.
12. Actively work to achieve Model Store criteria in each account serviced.
13. Communicate schedule changes or factors that affect other team members to the Marketing Manager in a timely manner.
14. Submit recommended changes to routes or service levels to the Marketing Manager for approval via the Route Change Request Form.
15. Monitor and carry out a one-year action plan.
 Responsibilities:
1. Ensure out-of-date and damaged product is immediately returned to the warehouse.
2. Collect funds where required (rentals and receivables).
3. Ensure all retailer complaints are resolved. This includes investigating and resolving all complaints in assigned accounts and working closely with Delivery representatives regarding recurring situations.
4. Work closely with Delivery representative to assure that merchandising equipment is properly cleaned, filled, and rotated according and keep back stock organized and rotate.
5. Maintain the company's assigned beverage counter space and prevent encroachment by competitors.
6. Place and maintain POS in accounts. Replace or repair soiled or damaged POS as needed.
7. Communicate with the Marketing Manager on a regular basis any product outages. Note the movement of competitive products as well.
8. Communicate schedule changes or factors that affect other team members to the Marketing Manager in a timely manner.

3. Promote and maintain company goodwill at all times.
4. Know, understand, and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
5. Report to your supervisor on a daily basis, or as required.
6. Notify your supervisor immediately if involved in an accident and/or injured during work.
7. Be available and capable of performing physical functions which will include lifting and moving loads of 50 lbs., or more and continuously pulling wheeler loads of product weighing up to 250 lbs.
8. Assist others and perform other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
9. Help maintain the positive image of the company in the trade.
10. Wear only company-approved uniforms and maintain personal appearance standards.
11. Know, understand, and implement company safety policies and procedures, including proper load lifting techniques, etc.
