Main Sail is Hiring a Financial Improvement Coordination Analyst - Levels I - IV Near Washington, DC
- Provide support to improve and sustain coordination among Navy FM&C stakeholders, including audit (e.g., the DON’s IPA) and financial management communities (e.g., the BSOs).
- Provide end-to-end knowledge of the Navy’s organizational structure, business processes, and financially relevant systems.
- Support overall strategic plans and milestones.
- Support reconciliation of the Universe of Transactions in Advana/Jupiter, the central repository for accounting transactions.
- Support improving the quality of DON financial reporting and underlying data.
- Requires one of the following levels of experience in improving or sustaining Navy financial management and policy support, including a strong understanding of audit and budgetary processes:
- Level I: 1 year of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree).
- Level II: 3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree).
- Level III: 6 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree).
- Level IV: 9 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree (or 2 years additional experience in lieu of a degree).
- Experience assisting in the formulation and implementation of strategic plans, ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Experience with Navy ERP and/or DAI financial modules a plus.
- Experience with Advana/Jupiter a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to articulate findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
