Main Street Auto is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Collision Body Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto body repair, exceptional technical skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. This role involves diagnosing and repairing vehicle damage, ensuring safety and precision in all repairs, and working collaboratively with a team of professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and repair vehicle damage from collisions, including dents, scratches, and structural damage.
  • Disassemble and reassemble vehicle components to facilitate repairs.
  • Replace or repair damaged parts using various hand and power tools.
  • Align and straighten frames and unibody structures.
  • Perform welding and metalworking tasks as required.
  • Apply body fillers and sand surfaces to prepare for painting.
  • Ensure all repairs meet manufacturer and industry standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Document all repairs and parts used, providing accurate records for billing and customer communication.
  • Collaborate with other technicians, painters, and office staff to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and repair techniques in the auto collision industry.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in auto collision repair.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle structures, materials, and repair techniques.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
  • Self-starter and dependable
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
