Maine Community College System is Hiring a HEAD BASEBALL COACH Near South Portland, ME

Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) invites applications for the position of Head Baseball Coach for the successful administration of the program. This is a part-time stipend position that reports to the Associate Dean of Athletics and Alumni Affairs. SMCC Baseball is a member of the Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA).
The Baseball program at SMCC plays a competitive schedule against YSCC and non-YSCC opponents both in the fall and spring. Duties include, but are not limited to: all aspects of coaching and administering a collegiate baseball program that successfully delivers to the student-athletes a program which will meet department recruitment, engagement, and retention initiatives; provide mentorship to student-athletes; scheduling practices; hiring and supervising of assistant coaching staff; assist with field maintenance and upkeep related to the baseball field, and assist with team fundraising initiatives.
Successful candidates should have a background as either a player or coach at the collegiate level or have demonstrated experience at the high school/club level. Candidates with the ability to recruit student-athletes successfully and to lead in all facets of coaching a collegiate baseball program will be considered. The stipend for the head coach position is $8,000 with the ability to be reimbursed for approved recruiting expenses. The Baseball program also stipend paid assistants positions to support the program.
