**Northeast CU** is hiring an Assistant Branch Manager at its Portsmouth, NH branch. Role: Provide members and potential members with product and service information in a helpful efficient manner, build and retain member relationships, through service quality and member needs satisfaction; open and close member accounts, promote the Credit Unions products and satisfy members financial needs through selling additional credit union services; originate loans and increase deposits by meeting identified member needs; cross sell other NECU products and services and ancillary products as appropriate. Plan, organize, control and direct all branch teller line, safe deposit (if applicable), and ATM cash operators to assure quality member service and member needs satisfaction. Create a productive environment to develop and sustain an efficient and knowledgeable staff. Adhere to and uphold Northeast Credit Unions Values and Service Standards.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities: Work involves extensive communication including, but not limited to, verbal, written and electronic, interaction, and collaboration with people on a daily basis in order to provide exemplary service.

- Meet members needs by providing outstanding service, problem resolution and needs based selling; interview loan applicants, close loans, cross-selling, prospecting and seeing the loan/mortgage process from application to loan closing.

- Active in sales development activities. This could include community involvement and development within and outside the parameters of our established business hours.

- Meet individual sales goals along with cross-selling credit union products and services which include minimum percentage goals for all ancillary products.

- Initiate and develop sales training for other branch staff.

- Perform other job related duties as assigned.

- Maintain or exceed knowledge necessary to remain compliant with all regulations and internal processes.

- Keep management informed regarding key issues affecting the department.

- Keep up to date in all required compliance and credit union training.

Knowledge and Skills:

Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education: A high school education or GED.

Interpersonal Skills: Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, and promoting cooperation.

Other Skills:

- Proficient communication skills (ie: verbal and written)

- Must have in depth understanding of ability to interpret and keep up to date with applicable laws and regulations surrounding area of responsibility.

- Working knowledge of all Microsoft products

- Must have ability to use computer, CDM, scanners, printers and associated hardware.

- Must have ability to us Copier, fax and other standard office equipment, telephone, teller mate and drive up canisters.

Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with other employees and review documents for accuracy. The employee must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, procedure manuals and policies. The employee is frequently required to remain in stationary position operating a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator, copy/fax machine, and printer. The employee may be required to stand, move, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

This position involves driving to various branches, external functions and work-related activities within Maine and New Hampshire (valid drivers license required).
