Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a full-time EMT-B position. Bonus amount prorated for part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth member employees are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

* Position Summary

* The Emergency Medical Technician for NorthStar Ambulance at our Pen Bay location provides basic life support during emergency pre-hospital and inter-facility transfer care to patients when indicated by the patient's injury or illness in accordance with state and local protocols.

* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

* License/Certifications: Maine EMT-Basic license. Valid driver's license. BLS at hire.

* Experience: N/A

* Must be 18 years of age

* Annual Skills Assessment, specific to department policies

* Annual Fit Testing
