What you will do:

* Contribute to the achievement of quality intervention and student outcomes utilizing evidenced based teaching strategies or applied behavior analysis.

* Support students in achieving their highest potential through acquiring new skills and reducing challenging behaviors under the supervision a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Special Education Teacher

* Provide a structured and supportive educational environment.

Responsibilities

* Provide effective behavior analytic treatment through implementation of individually designed programs for children with development disorders.

* Record and analyze data to track progress

* Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) - "What you will need":

* Education: Please see License/Certifications

* License/Certifications: Behavioral Tech (0-59 college credits in approved study), Special Ed Tech II (60-89 college credits in approved study) or Certification as an Education Technician III from the Maine Department of Education (minimum of 90 credits in approved study). Certification as School-Based Behavioral Health Professional will be provided upon hire.

* Experience: 1 year of experience working with children or youth with developmental disorders, mental health disorders, and/or challenging behavior in school, hospital, or residential setting preferred.
