MaineGeneral Health is Hiring a Patient representative Near Augusta, ME

Job Description

Meets with patient or patient's caregiver to exchange necessary information and documentation. Provides explanation of process and addresses concerns and questions.

Communicates with unit staff and other appropriate personnel to exchange necessary information and determine placement.

Verifies insurance benefits and obtains precertification / authorization, and ensures verification of medical necessity as necessary.

Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays deductibles, and coinsurance, or refers to financial counselors for follow up.
