With capacity for 12 children, this program produces the highest quality treatment out­comes through a combination of expert programming, specially trained caregivers and the individual potential of each patient. It is a cutting edge research center for autism and also houses the first playground in Maine created specifically for children with developmental disorders.

Position Highlights:

What you will do:

• Develop a working knowing of therapeutic interventions and interactions for common diagnosis of population served.
• Implement the behavioral plan developed specifically for the developmentally challenged patient in accordance with Doctor’s orders
• Assist patients with Daily Living Skills (ADLs) as directed by an RN

Responsibilities

• Perform checks and document on patient’s record in accordance with hospital policies
• Work with the treatment team in the collection of pertinent data to assist in the development of individualized behavioral plans
• Implement sensory schedules as indicated by behavioral plan
• Observe and respond to codes and follow code leader’s direction

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) – “What you will need”:

• Education: High School diploma preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Psychology preferred.
• License/Certifications: N/A
• Experience: 1 years of experience and/or coursework in a social services related field required.
