We are seeking experienced nursing assistants to join our Central Staffing Float Pool at Pen Bay Medical Center

The Central Staffing Float Pool offers a unique opportunity for experienced CNA's to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set. CNA's are given the opportunity to train on an array of units at Pen Bay Medical Center. The assortment of floors and units assigned to will provide an opportunity to practice in various clinical areas throughout the hospital. A nurse working in the Central Staffing Float Pool must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, with remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise. Having the ability to transition between departments including but not limited to medical-surgical, critical care, inpatient behavioral health and emergency is a must when working in Central Staffing.

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Clinical Nursing Assistants:

0-1 years of experience eligible for $2,500 (full time)

1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time)

Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time CNA position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

* Position Summary This position consists of 24 hours per week.

* Assists in providing age-specific, pediatric through geriatric, patient centered care in accordance with respective unit based protocols. Under the direct supervision of the RN, the CNA performs specific delegated tasks as they relate to ADLs and the promotion of outcome based patient centered care in a variety of settings.

* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

* License/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited CNA program. BLS Certified. Certification in Management of Aggressive Behaviors preferred.

* Experience: N/A

* In good standing on the Maine State CNA Registry

* Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with multiple and diverse patient populations.

* Demonstrates competency with multiple computer applications.
