Mains’l mission is to support adults who received services through Far Northern Regional Center (FNRC) in living a meaningful life by responding to their hopes and dreams.

What does an ILS Specialist do? The role of the Program Specialist working in Independent Living Services (ILS) is to guide people to greater independence in their homes and community through practical training and mentorship.

You will work with adults one-on-one who have set goals to achieve, specializing your coaching and training to their individual needs.

Specialized coaching could be in the following areas : Money management : staying on budget / creating budgets Outdoor activities : fishing, walking, going to the park, etc.

Community / social confidence : seeking new connections, attending community events, gaining self confidence in social environments Cooking skills : food prep, cooking temperatures, cutting, chopping, food storage, kitchen safety Cleaning / basic home maintenance : laundry, sweeping, mopping, dusting, mopping Self advocating skills : gaining confidence to use their voice based on their values and personal preference Healthcare, first aid, medication pick up Personal safety / mobility skills Any additional personalized goals What’s in it for you?

Flexible Schedule : You’ll be matched with 1-3 people to support with person center goals. You are able to schedule a time that works for both the person you’re supporting and yourself.

Scheduled hours are Monday Friday between the hours of 8 : 30 am and 5 : 00 pm. Pay Rate : $17.00 per hour, $17.25 after 90 days and completion of training.

Part-time : 16-20 hours per week. Service locations : Chico, Paradise, and Oroville. Some of the people we support at Mains’l have an interest in learning American Sign Language (ASL).

Bilingual preferred but not required (English / Spanish). The ideal candidate would : Have patience Be friendly Be flexible Be eager to learn Be self driven Work well under limited supervision Have great communication skills Have good attention to detail Requirements : At least 18 years of age.

TB (Tuberculosis) Skin Test. Benefits : Mains’l offers full benefits to full-time staff including paid time off, paid sick time (80 hours for the year), paid holidays, health, dental, life and vision insurance, 401k, paid funeral leave, parental leave, 2 weeks of paid jury leave, and education assistance (tuition reimbursement).

As a part-time staff, you will receive sick time (40 hours for the year), paid holidays, and education assistance. Pay Scale : Starting rate : $17.

00 per hour ($17.25 after 90 days and completion of new hire training). Maximum Pay Rate : $18.75 per hour based on years of experience at Mains'l.
