Summary: This position is a traveling position based out of the MainStage Pensacola Office. This position provides excellent customer service through the installation of MainStage products to customers. This position is responsible for the installation and fabrication of rigging hardware, battens, curtain tracks, curtains, electrical plug boxes/strips and all related items. Installations require that the rigger work at heights ranging from twelve to sixty feet from floor level and may often call for the use of safety and fall protection equipment. While much of the work involves individual initiative and judgment, working with team members is critical when performing rigging installation.
Specific work will include the installation of hardware to existing structures, the installation of hanging pipes, beams or tracking, and hardware to concrete, steel, wood, and block walls. Responsible for drilling, securing and testing the operation of head blocks, mule blocks, sheaves, winches, and components of counterweighted, winched and dead hung systems.
The Installer is to ensure his work always meets the highest quality and safety standards as set forth by Mainstage, OSHA, PLASA, USITT, ETCP and any local, regional, or national board or institution with jurisdiction over the installation.
Installations occur at the customer’s site, and the duration of stay for a rigger/installer may be from a day trip to several weeks long. In some cases, generally involving international or long distances of travel, greater lengths of stay maybe required.
Additional Duties: Normal facility upkeep and construction as directed by the Management.
MainStage is a drug-free workplace with pre-employment drug and background testing. Random drug testing may be required.
Installers must possess and maintain a valid driver license

Ability to read and use a tape measure to measure materials and heights
Ability to operate power tools in a safe manner
Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle in accordance with the law
Ability to learn new skills and installation standards
Ability to travel extensively and adapt to changing schedule
Maintain professional appearance
Must reliably enter time and job information in time-tracking system
Must reliably enter expense reports for company-authorized expenses
Obtain OSHA 10 construction safety course (costs paid by employer)
Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions when required as well as unconditioned indoor
construction spaces
Ability to load, assemble, and dismantle temporary structures such as scaffoldin
Compensation: Competitive pay rate with time and a half for overtime for over 40 hours worked per week. Mainstage standard benefits include holiday pay, paid time off and insurance availability.
This position provides per diem for food; transportation and hotel costs are covered by MainStage.
