Property Maintenance Technician

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing property inspections and various maintenance tasks across our clients' commercial properties. This position involves receiving work orders, traveling to different locations, and ensuring that all maintenance, repair and cleaning work is executed efficiently and effectively.

Duties:

• Execute routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting, cleaning and proper documentation for whatever work is performed.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, addressing issues promptly to minimize tenant downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance to identify potential issues, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Respond quickly to maintenance requests and work orders, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact on operations.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, providing reports as needed.
• Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in accordance with safety protocols, promoting a safe work environment for all team members.
• Provide recommendations for improvements or upgrades to existing systems and equipment based on observations and experience.
• Assist with emergency repairs and respond to urgent maintenance issues outside of regular working hours, as required.

Skills:

• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with extensive hands-on experience in commercial property maintenance.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control panels.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to guide repair and maintenance tasks.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills for minor repairs and modifications.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on diagnosing and resolving issues effectively and efficiently.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and locations, prioritizing work to meet deadlines and operational needs.
• Strong communication skills, with a customer service-oriented approach to interacting with clients and team members.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and a strong work ethic.
• Flexibility to handle emergency repairs and adjustments outside of regular working hours as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week

Experience:

• Towing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Snow plowing: 1 year (Preferred)
• Property Maintenance: 3 years (Required)

Ability to Commute:

• Addison, IL 60101 (Required)
