MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS is Hiring a Secretary - Maintenance and Operations Near Arkansas, AR

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Minimum of High School Diploma.
  2. Three (3) years of experience in public or private sector in secretarial areas, to include general office administration and associated duties.
  3. Typing proficiency of 50-55 wpm with accuracy.
  4. Experience in standard office administration programs such as Microsoft Office and other computer operations.
  5. Evidence of office organizational skills and general office responsibilities.
  6. Evidence of strong skills in meeting and dealing with the public in a manner that will promote a positive image of the School District
  7. Evidence of a strong commitment to quality desegregated education.

REPORTS TO:

Budget Analyst / Office Manager

JOB GOAL:

 To assist the Department of Maintenance and Operations in the area of office administration in order to achieve the departmental goals of maintaining all school facilities in a condition of excellence.

BASIC PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Processes all incoming and outgoing correspondence and maintains a correspondence filing system.
  2. Maintains files and records on all engineering/construction and service bids and contracts for all physical facilities in the District.
  3. Utilizes computer skills to operate software system for maintaining records relating to contract and project management.
  4. Distributes annual asbestos notification to all District employees. Conducts asbestos awareness training for new custodial and maintenance employees.
  5. Responsible for general secretarial support to the Director and office staff to include, but not limited to, correspondence, reports, mail distribution, arranging meetings and filing. 
  6. Responsible for the preparation of necessary documentation to complete Serious Incident reports to be submitted to the HR office.
  7. Maintains accurate records for travel reimbursement and provides an accurate report of reimbursement to the Business Office for payment of
  8. Maintains files and issues, replaces and processes all billing with regard to department cell phones.
  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

NOTE:

Each applicant will be required to review and sign a Position Analysis Survey (in accordance with ADA).

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Twelve (12) Month (245 days) contract - Pay 804 – 07 plus benefits package. 

NOTE: Precise placement within the salary range will be determined based upon experience.

EVALUATION:

The performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the District’s policy on the Evaluation of Support Personnel.
