Position Overview: As a School Custodian, you will play a crucial role in keeping our school a pristine and hygienic space for learning. Your responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness of classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas, and addressing immediate maintenance needs. You will contribute to a healthy and pleasant atmosphere for everyone.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cleaning and Sanitizing: Thoroughly clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, and other common areas. Tasks include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Trash Removal: Regularly empty and dispose of trash and recycling bins responsibly.
• Safety and Security: Monitor and report safety hazards or security concerns to ensure a safe environment.
• Event Support: Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for school events and assemblies.
• Supplies Management: Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and notify the supervisor when inventory is low.
• Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and staff to address custodial needs and support the school’s operations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina for manual tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
