Job DetailsJob Location Roane County - Lenoir City, TN Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Job Shift Day Description Summary . This Engineering Technician is responsible for the creation, maintenance, revision and updating of production and prototype harness assembly boards and associated requirements to facilitate and support manufacturing operations. Essential Duties And Responsibilities .
Understands and demonstrates Safety as the first priority in all activities.
Maintains standards of health and safety, hygiene, housekeeping, and security in the work environment.
Harness Assembly Board Creation
Creates harness assembly boards using engineering drawings, guidelines, and processes.
Responds to requests for service to address issues with harness assembly boards in production.
Manages inventory of materials and parts required to execute.
Analyze information provided by teammates/customers to rationalize a solution to the problem.
Identifies areas for improvement through periodic audits and situational reviews and recommends approaches to address defects or deficits.
Stays current with requirements, training, information, and qualifications to execute the role.
Other duties may be assigned.
Prototype/Sample Harness Creation/evaluation
Create prototype/sample harnesses from limited information involving engineering drawings and/or work instructions.
Create prototype/sample harnesses using standard or alternative methods (manual wire cutting, hand tool crimping, etc.) of wire processing.
Report issues found during build with drawings or work instructions.
Provide input on design of work instructions.
Ability to troubleshoot and to develop and execute recovery plans.
Manages inventory of materials and parts required to execute.
Identifies areas for improvement through periodic audits and situational reviews and recommends approaches to address defects or deficits.
Stays current with requirements, training, information, and qualifications to execute the role.

Qualifications
Ability to read, interpret and understand basic mechanical and electrical drawings
Ability to safely operate and be proficient using power tools (hand and stationary) to execute basic woodworking and light metal fabrication.
Ability to read a multimeter to measure voltage, continuity, and other electrical measurements
Ability to read a tape measure/ruler in inches, to include increments of 1/16 inch and/or millimeters, to include increments of 1mm.
Ability to read and interpret business documents, basic drawings, and schematics
Knowledge of basic computer software (Office 365, MS Excel)
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general degree (GED) with five years of relevant experience Language Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with a spectrum of constituents (customers, suppliers, management).Ability to read and interpret schematics. Mathematical Skills: Ability to execute basic mathematical problems using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to include fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability
