Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Front-End Developer at Malted AI. As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of developing and maintaining the front-end of our web applications. This includes implementing responsive implementation of product design, collaborating with back-end developers and UX designers, participating in code reviews, and ensuring high-quality user experiences. While this role is primarily located in Edinburgh, remote work is flexible.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Front-End Development and Responsive Design
• Proficiency in Software Development principles and best practices
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js)
• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Experience with testing and debugging tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus
• Familiarity with RESTful API integration
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them

Responsibilities:

•  Develop robust, scalable, and high-quality front-end applications and annotation interfaces for our AI platform
• Collaborate with UX/UI Designers to implement interactive design concepts
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs while maintaining a coherent user experience across all products
• Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and readability
• Utilize a variety of markup languages to write web pages
• Take ownership of code quality, including writing tests and performing code reviews
• Stay up-to-date with emerging front-end technologies and best practices
