Mana Products is Hiring a Sr Manager of Planning and Scheduling Near New York, NY

As the Sr Manager of Planning and Scheduling at MANA Products you will oversee the end-to-end planning and scheduling of some of the world’s premier beauty products. You will lead a team of Planner Schedulers responsible for monitoring and scheduling work orders from the generation of a customer’s purchase orders, through production, to final completion. You and your team will work to maximize customer satisfaction while minimizing inventory. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a growth mindset, and has a strong sense of personal responsibility to deliver for our customers. The candidate must also be able to proactively adapt to changing conditions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, develop, and train a team of planner/schedulers to ensure on time replenishment of manufactured goods to support the order fulfilment process.
  • Coach personnel to ensure optimal team member interactions thus driving team performance.
  • Overseeing the alignment of manufacturing resources and components with customer demand.
  • Strategic leader employing data-driven approaches to drive proactive management of customer demand and inventory levels through tool creation and process improvement.
  • Monitor material and labor shortages and identify production bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted workflow and timely resolution.
  • Improve the production schedule to eliminate bottlenecks and increase overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide weekly updates to the executive team on Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) progress compared to budgetary benchmarks.
  • Develop strong, professional working relationships with multi factories and contacts.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Experience on Account Management activities and projects.
  • Responsible for the minimization and reduction of slow moving and obsolete inventory.
  • Responsible for developing and helping to meet or exceed KPIs for on time in full and schedule attainment for all manufactured items.
  • Take initiative to identify opportunities and to implement continuous improvement projects to drive efficiency and effectiveness in the end-to-end supply chain system.
  • Actively involved in planning and supporting new business opportunities, product introductions, system implementations and updates.
  • Responsible for cadence reporting and distribution of specific daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
  • Capable of translating objectives into deliverable strategies to achieve business goals and create a competitive advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required (major in Supply Chain or Operations Preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of supply chain or operations experience
  • CPIM/CSCP Preferred
  • Experienced with Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
  • Experienced with ERP systems (JDE, ERP, JDA)
  • Expertise with Microsoft Office, Word, Power Point, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management skills and the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • An independent thinker capable of working in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to identify and eliminate potential problem areas with an “out of the box” approach.
