Medical Billing Team Assistant $18/hr – FQHC Countryside, IL

Our client, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Countryside, IL, has an immediate need for a Medical Billing Team Assistant for an on-site, full-time role, but is also open to part-time. This is a short-term, entry-level position to cover 2 members who will be absent for 1-2 months. Someone bilingual in Spanish would be preferable, but it is not required.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday – Friday

Project Length: 1-2 months

Pay Rate: $18/hr.

Job Responsibilities:

• Balance outreach
• Collect on payment plans
• Answer phones
• Sort mail
• Scan, upload, file EOBs as needed
• MEDI secondary claim entry
• Claim status checks via portals or phone calls
• Assist with claim disputes via portals or phone calls
• Mail client statements

Job Requirements:

• 1 year of experience with billing
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred
• Experience billing in a medical office or non-profit helpful, but not required
