Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara. This role involves taking designs from RTL to GDS with synthesis, Place and Route, timing, and Physical Verification, particularly focusing on high-speed multi-gigabit SerDes PHY designs.

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Physical Design Engineer to join our team in Santa Clara. This role involves taking designs from RTL to GDS with synthesis, Place and Route, timing, and Physical Verification, particularly focusing on high-speed multi-gigabit SerDes PHY designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute synthesis and timing-driven place and route of RTL blocks for high-speed Datapath and control logic applications.
- Implement design flows for clock tree synthesis, clock and power gating techniques, buffer/repeater insertion, and scan stitching.
- Optimize designs for improved timing, power, and area, with a focus on reducing design cycle time.
- Support floor planning, design methodology establishment, IP integration, and checks for logic equivalence.
- Conduct physical, timing, and electrical quality checks, and provide final signoff for large IP delivery.
- Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or related field with 5 years of experience, or master's degree with 3 years of experience.
- Proficiency in Python and/or Perl is required, additional languages are a plus.
- Experience with automated synthesis and timing-driven place and route of RTL blocks.
- Strong background in digital circuit techniques and logic optimization for high-speed, low-power applications.
- Familiarity with tools for logic synthesis, place and route, timing analysis, and design checks.
- Ability to work with geographically spread-out teams and multitask across projects.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in EE, CS, or related field, preferably with a focus on high-speed multi-gigabit SerDes PHY designs or other high-performance IP designs.
