Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced Sr Quality Engineer for our gas turbine division, specializing in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel and pumps for military and commercial planes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, particularly in customer interfacing, new product development, and internal quality management.
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards for products and processes.
- Provide diverse and complex statistical information for quality improvement by determining and applying testing methods and criteria.
- Guide technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure division quality objectives are achieved.
- Manage customer interfacing to ensure clear communication and satisfaction.
- Oversee new product development processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Manage internal quality management systems and processes.
- Act as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR).
- Manage vendor relationships and oversee program management activities.
- Ensure compliance with AS1000 standards.
- Perform Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP).
- Conduct first article inspections and ensure zero defects in products.
- Utilize green belt methodologies for process improvement (preferred).
- Work closely with customers such as Rolls Royce, Pratt Whitney, and GE.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
- Must have the following detailed on the resume to be considered:
- Customer interfacing experience
- New product development experience
- Internal quality management experience
- Experience as a Designated Supplier Quality Representative (DSQR)
- Experience in managing vendor relationships and program management
- Knowledge of AS1000 standards
- Experience with PPAP and APQP processes
- First article inspection and zero defects experience
- Green belt certification is a plus
- Work is typically performed in an office setting.
