SUMMARY : Management Business Solutions is seeking an EHS Specialist to join an established manufacturing company in Lorain, OH .

This person develops and enforces policies for a safe workplace, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting site evaluations, implementing preventive measures, facilitating training, and investigating incidents to prevent future risks.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Conduct facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental hazards.
  • Develop and manage inspection protocols, procedures, and schedules.
  • Establish and enforce health and safety procedures across all departments.
  • Plan and deliver training on emergency protocols and workplace safety.
  • Monitor compliance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Prepare reports documenting inspection findings and recommendations.
  • Maintain and ensure accessibility of material safety data sheets.
  • Keep records of hazardous waste discharge and employee exposure.
  • Perform additional duties to support EHS objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related discipline. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • Must have experience with ISO 9001 standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and safety policies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with excellent organizational and detail-oriented capabilities.
  • Proficiency with technology and tools used in environmental inspections.
