Job Description
SUMMARY: Management Business Solutions is seeking an Production Supervisor for its client in the Allentown, PA area. This individual would be responsible for managing and leading a team in a manufacturing setting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Lead and engage teams in process improvement.
· Resolve conflicts and provide coaching and counseling to employees.
· Manage and be accountable for the crew’s performance and practices
· Leading EHS initiatives throughout the organization.
· Prepare daily schedules for hourly employees based on truck schedules.
· Manage incoming metal process and prepare paperwork for outbound materials from the plant.
· Lead shift meetings, engaging employees in all aspects of the business case.
· Complete autonomous maintenance as required.
· Develop, share, and implement best practices throughout the organization.
· Effectively and consistently enforce workplace rules, policies, procedures, and labor agreements.
· Plan, manage, and execute departmental operating plans and tactical operations, including scheduling, crew assignments, and overtime.
· Demonstrate commitment to servicing the customer and work with internal and external customers and suppliers to communicate expectations and priorities.
· Lead and facilitate Root Cause Analysis.
· Clearly communicate written and oral instructions.
· Ensure quality shipments, high productivity, and identify cost improvements in the department.
· Maintain good employee relations with internal and external customers.
· Track performance measurements and implement policies and procedures.
· Perform other duties as needed to meet business objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· High diploma is required. BA degree is preferred.
· 3 years of working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
· 1 years of supervisor experience.
· Prior experience with continuous improvement techniques.
· Proficient in ERP systems.
· Strong ability with computers and Microsoft Office Applications.
