Mancan is Hiring a Warehouse Associate Near Akron, OH
Hours are M-F, 8:00 - 4:30 with a 30-minute lunch.
The rate is $17.00 an hour.
Summary: Fulfills orders to moves inventory to the production facility, receives new inventory into the warehouse, and maintains warehouse in a safe, efficient and accurate manner by performing the following duties.
Must have carpentry skills and be able to use hand tools to build crates.
Must have forklift experience along with a valid driver's license with 2 points or less.
Must also be able to pass a drug screening, national background check and have a high school diplome or GED.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Retrieve parts from storage as directed by pick tickets, using appropriate methods (lifting, ladder, forklift).
• Verify part numbers against pick tickets for accuracy.
• Place picked parts with paperwork into assigned containers; stage for truck loading.
• Assemble kits of parts as assigned.
• Unload trucks and stage incoming parts in receiving areas.
• Count incoming parts and compare with accompanying paperwork; note any discrepancies.
• Use a computer to locate permanent storage for parts.
• Store parts by appropriate methods (lifting, ladder, forklift).
• Perform cycle counts and periodic inventories; compare actual counts to records.
• Notify supervisor of issues with part retrieval or storage, including location, quality, or count discrepancies.
• Prioritize urgent orders over routine tasks.
• Maintain work area standards, recycle/dispose of packing materials, and stage crates for reuse.
• Package and arrange returns to suppliers as specified by OEM.
• Expedite Hot Parts to depot or production line.
• Store and file completed documents appropriately.
