Manhattan College is Hiring a Director of Institutional Giving & Special Programs Near Manhattan, NY

The Director, Institutional Giving & Special Programs reports to the Assistant Vice President for College Advancement, and is responsible for the development and implementation of strategic fundraising initiatives for corporations, private foundations, and alumni. This is accomplished through managing annual fundraising events, including the De La Salle Medal Dinner and the Jaspers Sporting Clays Classic; corporate and private foundation relationships; grant proposal development and submission; marketing tactics; and face to face meetings.
Primary Responsibilities And Measurable Actions/ActivitiesLead the De La Salle Medal Dinner fundraising campaign. Manage the honoree, volunteer leadership committee, donor relations, advertising sponsorships, and other fundraising activities. Partner with the Office of Marketing & Communication to design and execute mail appeals and other marketing collateral. Prepare event logistical details, including the timeline, libretto, remarks, and guest seating. 60% of Time
Collaborate with faculty and administrators to identify prospects, prepare and submit corporate and foundation grant proposals, and steward relationships to secure funding for capital projects, scholarships, and academic programs. 15% of Time
Raise funds for the Summer Engineering Awareness Program (SEAP) by research prospects, managing annual mail appeals, and writing and submitting corporate and foundation grant proposals and stewardship reports. 12.5% of Time
Lead the fundraising campaign for the Jaspers Sporting Clays Classic. Manage the relationship with Sportsmen for Charity and conduct fundraising efforts for the event, including overseeing the volunteer leadership committee, and making auction and raffle item solicitations. 12.5% of Time
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred
  • Five years of fundraising or similar experience
  • Raiser's Edge experience preferred
