Manko Window Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to perform a broad range of maintenance duties, including industrial machinery, facility, and electrical repair. This position is a full time, non-exempt position based in Manhattan, KS. reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs proper mechanical and electrical installations and repair on all machinery.
- Performs preventive maintenance for production machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot machinery problems to prevent serious mechanical failures and ensure equipment meets safety and work quality expectations.
- Prioritizes to safely maintain, service, make recommendations, and improve operations of production and facility equipment with high principal standards while working alongside other personnel or departments.
Other Duties:
- Expected, punctual attendance for all scheduled shifts and on-call duties.
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays in an on-call capacity as needed.
- Participates in training and development to progress skill level and knowledge within scope of work.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- High school Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years prior maintenance experience required.
- Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
- Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
- Ability and proficiency working with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of industrial machine repair and troubleshooting (including bearings, power units, gearboxes, shafts, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and facility repair).
- Experience with control circuits, variable frequency drives, automation, circuit board, etc.
- Must possess own basic hand tools, combined with a Company tool replacement program; other tools provided.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Trade school, vocation education, or degree in maintenance/mechanical or related field.
- 5 years of experience within manufacturing or related industry
· Experience with the following machinery: Lisec, Glaston, Hegla, Emmegi, Denver/Forvette CNC
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods working on feet, using tools, and performing repetitive actions, i.e. frequent bending and stooping.
- Ability to access and navigate all areas of production facility.
- Must be able to lift 80 pounds, push or pull up to 75 pounds, climb, crawl, squat, kneel and tie knots.
- Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Visual ability to read instructions, write, operate machines, and inspect parts/machines.
