Role Summary Job Description Company: MANN HUMMELLocation: Gastonia, NCNOT ACCEPTING VISA APPLICANTSAs a Materials Engineering Intern at MANN HUMMEL, you will gain hands-on experience in the field of materials engineering, working on a key project that you will manage throughout your internship. This 6-12 month program offers the opportunity to support various departments, develop improvement concepts, and present your results to the leadership team. Main TasksKey Responsibilities:
Manage and execute a key project assigned for the duration of the internship.
Provide support to the assigned department
Develop and present improvement concepts to the leadership team.
Engage in hands-on work to understand business processes and challenges.
Learn and develop with the support of experienced colleagues.
Your ProfileEducation and Experience:
Actively pursuing an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Materials or Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
Prior work experience in a manufacturing company is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Strong project management, organization, and communication skills.
Willingness to take responsibility for projects.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Ability to multitask in a collaborative team and office setting.
Understanding of basic laboratory work environment.
Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
Interest in filtration and production technologies, with a curiosity to learn and develop within a manufacturing plant.
Additional Information:
Internship duration: 6-12 months.
During school: 15-20 working hours per week.
During school breaks: 20-40 working hours per week.
