Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our team in the DMV area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Provides writing and editing services and contributes to producing and editing the Innovation Recommendation Reports as they relate to performance improvements in systems, operations, and processes.
• Rewrites content or perform developmental editing to ensure it passes our information quality checks before review, signature, coordination, and publication .
• Assists engineers and analysts by advising content outline and structuring.
• Reviews new performance improvement content for editing accuracy and formatting and support other acquisitions at the project level.
• Collaborates with SMEs to design, write, revise, and/or edit technical documentation, including interim whitepapers, plans, outlines, speeches, or presentations.
• Assists with management of updates, version control, and revisions to technical literature repository.
• Reports to the TDL Generation Manager and supervises and mentors subordinate project and staff.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience.
  • Four (4) years of additional experience is required with a High School diploma; two (2) years of additional experience is required with an Associate's degree
  • A Master's degree may be considered in lieu of two (2) years of experience; a Ph.D. can be considered in lieu of four (4) years of experience
• Five (5) years of position-specific experience.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certified Technical Writer (CTW)
• Adobe Certified Expert-FrameMaker certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline. Master's degree in Writing, Communication, or STEM.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
