Role : Barista

Responsible for : Making coffee orders efficiently and accurately, maintaining cleanliness of the coffee station, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for guests by supporting servers and bar staff.

Reports to : Bars Manager / Operations Manager

General Scope : The Barista Is well organized, responsible, punctual, self-motivated, warm, hospitable, and above all a team player.

The candidate should work well in a fast-paced environment, multitask efficiently, have excellent interpersonal skills and relate to people of all backgrounds & abilities.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Consistently dose & pull espresso, prepare cold brew & other batched products
• Follow drink recipes & preparation procedures
• Maintain high-quality, consistent product standards
• Follow proper tray-handling procedures & run drinks to guests
• Maintain efficient & friendly service standards
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the menu, including daily specials, allergens, and dietary restrictions.
• Ensure complete execution of and adherence to proper allergy procedure.
• Set up, breakdown, clean & sanitize barista station
• Restock & replenish inventory & supplies
• Organize & polish coffee table & drinkware
• Maintain cleanliness of coffee station and adjacent bar areas, including bar tops, sinks, glasses, shelves, and equipment.
• Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with bartenders and other staff to ensure seamless service.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests courteously and efficiently.
• Follow all safety and sanitation policies.

Additional Responsibilities :

• Conduct inventory of coffee, tea & accessory
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels.
• Assist with the cleaning & organization of the storage room
• Strictly adhere to health code guidelines
• Assist in the preparation and service of drinks during busy periods.
• Help with setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service.
• Effectively communicate guest issues or operational concerns.
• Follow and execute all side work lists provided by the company.
• Assist team members as needed.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Be well-organized, detail-oriented & socially perceptive.

License Requirements :

• Valid food handler certification
• TIPS Certification

Requirements :

• Minimum 2 years barista & manual espresso machine experience
• Minimum 1 year fine dining
• Have the ability to consistently create latte art
• Have the ability to work fast & efficiently under pressure
• Have the ability to multi-task & handle high-volume
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs
• Must be able to perform repetitive bending, stopping, twisting, and lifting of products and supplies
