Job DescriptionThe Senior Retirement Writer will research and write marketing and thought leadership materials for a broad range of retirement topics for a broad range of marketing, sales, and business initiatives. Partner with marketing and content colleagues to integrate product enhancements and corporate messaging and branding into all materials.
Responsibilities
  • Solid understanding of retirement savings industry, along with the legislative, economic, and social forces that drive it
  • Write a wide variety of assignments, both short form and long form
  • Write copy for marketing and transactional websites, social media, thought leadership, as well as more traditional marketing tactics, including emails, videos, flyers, brochures, presentations, etc.
  • Independently research insight and data used to develop or bolster written work
  • Write clear, persuasive arguments, supported by evidence
  • Recognize and uphold the firm’s brand voice and style in all written communications
  • Use numerous technologies and software platforms to collaborate, write, and publish work in a digital work environment
  • Collaborate with marketing, digital, design, CX, compliance, advanced analytics, and others to develop and complete customer-focused content
  • Collaborate with marketing managers, design, digital experience, production, and analytics to complete assignments
  • Manage projects and deliver quality drafts on time
  • Maintain a level of professionalism consistent with that of a leading financial institution

What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree is required
  • 5-10 years of retirement business writing experience preferred
  • Experience working at a retirement plan provider, third-party administrator, consultant or advisory firm, or other industry-related organization preferred
  • Passion for the retirement industry and a strong intellectual curiosity
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, including the ability to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple tasks within a fast-paced environment
  • Resourceful researcher with strong information gathering and analytical skills
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills
  • Advanced related degree or industry licensing a plus
  • Ability to interact successfully with product teams and senior executives

Primary LocationBoston, Massachusetts
Salary range is expected to be between$86,325.00 USD - $155,385.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
