Position: Utility Worker

Maple Ridge Senior Living is seeking a reliable and motivated Utility Worker to join our team. This position is integral to maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents. The role primarily involves heavy housekeeping duties including carpet cleaning, power washing, and furniture moving.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular and thorough carpet cleaning throughout the facility.
  • Utilize power washing equipment to clean exterior surfaces such as sidewalks, patios, and building exteriors.
  • Move furniture as needed to facilitate cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal.
  • Maintain cleanliness of common areas, resident rooms, and other designated spaces.
  • Follow established safety protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor promptly.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or related field preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
