Marcum Search is assisting out client in their search for a Gulf Coast Regional Human Resources Manager.

Location: onsite Clermont, Florida

Industry: Commercial Construction

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Human Resources Manager to join our national construction company. The Regional Human Resources Manager plays a critical role as a first point of contact for all human resources related matters and providing strong customer service across multiple locations within the designated region. Working closely with the Regional VP, Branch & Office Managers, HR Director, HR team members as well as all team members of the region, the Regional HR Manager will collaborate with various departments, other regions & the corporate team members to ensure the effective implementation and application of the company’s HR policies, strategies and initiatives that align with our organizational goals and values.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the recruitment process from start to finish, including job postings, interview coordination, and candidate selection.
  • Direct HR traffic within the branch, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and directing them to the appropriate resources.
  • Conduct employee onboarding sessions to welcome new hires and familiarize them with company policies, procedures, and culture.
  • Manage the termination process, ensuring all procedures are followed in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
  • Administer FMLA requests and other leaves of absence, including tracking and maintaining accurate records.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all states in which the company operates.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and best practices.
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as benefits, payroll, and leave, and resolve issues that may arise.
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Participate in HR projects, such as the implementation of new HR technology or programs.
  • Conduct regular HR audits to ensure compliance with labor regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within a multistate company in the construction industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of state-specific employment laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard HR practices and labor legislation.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle data with confidentiality.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office.
  • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to different branch locations as needed.
