Purpose of Role:

The FCM Clearing Operations Support provides operations clearing support for Futures & Options. The role covers all top day activity including allocations, Give Ups, Give Ins, and constant monitoring of trade activity to ensure everything is clearing correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all top day trades are allocated, cleared, and accepted in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in daily monitoring and problem resolution of exchange clearing gateways and third-party clearer file imports
  • Participate in daily monitoring and problem resolution of downstream internal system feeds and process.
  • Collaborate with brokers, assisting with all queries and requirements.
  • Escalation of issues to back-office supervisor and clearing manager.
  • Partner with IT and trade support groups, advising of system issues daily.
  • Process top day trade activity to minimize intraday margin calls.
  • Correspondence through group mailbox, as well as personal email.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct
    • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role, or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
    • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
    • To escalate risk events immediately
    • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Zero to two years (0-2) of clearing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of Ion’s XTP Back Office & Ateo LISA & Teo Clearing software.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in a time sensitive
