We are looking for a highly motivated individuals to join our Front Desk team. The ideal candidate uses their engaging personality to create a memorable first impression for our guests. While checking in, registering guests, the Front Desk Agent is a source of knowledge for the guest for everything about the hotel, its amenities, and the local area.

Your Role:

  • Help guests discover their “Wanderlust” experience
  • Provide exceptional customer service by being engaging and taking sincere interest
  • Check guests in, ensuring proper credit is received, special requests are noted and fulfilled, and accurate information is established.
  • Help to resolve problems and “WOW” guests through recovery when things aren’t quite right
  • Promote and sell special hotel programs.
  • Interact with hotel/resort staff in a professional manner, assisting other departments with necessary information.
  • Be knowledgeable of all emergency procedures and policies.
  • Communicate all pertinent information to manager on duty.
  • Follow set procedures on posting, charges, cashing checks, safe deposits, and refunds.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Ensures that all room discrepancies are cleared
  • Maintains a neat and orderly control desk and area
  • Complete job duties as listed on their shift checklist in a timely manner and alerts manager or supervisor if assistance is needed
  • Coordinates out of order rooms with housekeeping
  • Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day
  • Maintain complete knowledge at all times of: All hotel features/services, hours of operation
  • Daily house count and expected arrivals/departures
  • Communicate services and amenities of the hotel to guests
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATION

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate
  • Compute basic arithmetic
  • Fluency in English both verbally and non-verbally
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers/point of sales system
  • Excellent phone & verbal communication skills
  • Flexible schedule

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires frequent sitting, standing and walking.
  • Requires occasional crouching, bending, pushing/pulling, and lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.
  • Requires frequent manual dexterity, fine, and gross motor skills, and constant vision, and hearing.
