Job Summary
The Audio Visual Specialist provides specialized support, coordination, implementation, maintenance, and repair of audio-visual systems and multimedia equipment including hardware and software.
In addition to supporting classroom and conference room media technology, this role frequently involves running live-stream events and providing hands-on technical or production support for large-scale events.
Essential Functions
30% - Provides specialized audio-visual support and services that includes multi-media, video, broadcasting, audio engineering for college events, conferences, live-streaming, and large-scale events.
20% - Maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting audio, video and AV control systems
20% - Connecting, tuning, and configuring AV setups to ensure high-quality production
20% - Manages components of projects or small and clearly defined projects
10% - Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and three (3) years of experience with supporting audio visual and multimedia systems, hardware and software, and end-users of audio visual systems.
Desired Qualifications
1. Knowledge and understanding of Crestron or other AV control systems
2. Knowledge of configuring, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual hardware and software
3. Knowledge of audio engineering, cable routing, and cable management
4. Experience with the usage of various audio-visual hardware and software platforms
5. Experience with setting up and supporting live streamed events
Special Working Conditions
May be required to work at multiple sites or locations.
Possession of a valid State of Arizona Class D driver's license is required; must meet minimum standards regarding driving :
May be required to lift or carry up to 25lbs.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM
May be required to work evenings and weekends
Climbing stairs and / or ladders to reach assigned areas along with working at heights.
Work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and environmental conditions
