Hourly Rate

$16.00/per hour

Not Eligible for Benefits

This is a part-time, temporary position not eligible for benefits.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Summer Hours: Monday - Thursday, 7am-6pm

Hours vary depending on students schedule (19 hours maximum per week)

Job Summary

This position operates as the key point of entry for the Glendale Community College Career and Technical Education Division supporting students in successfully accessing education and training services within the colleges for applicable CTE programs

The CTE Support Assistant will act as a liaison to services and resources within the CTE Division and is vital to developing the key data points needed to ensure program completion with in the CTE occupational field(s). This position assists with the development, coordination, and implementation of activities to improve student success, and services and activities to improve retention, course completion, graduation, and/or transfer rates.

In order to qualify for a Federal Work-Study (FWS) job, a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) must be on file for the current award year and have eligible financial needs based on the college requirements. Please contact the Office of Financial Aid for more information prior to applying to a Federal Work-Study job.

  • FWS is a need-based, federally funded program.
  • FWS requires the completion of a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and confirmation of federal work-study eligibility as determined by the financial aid office.
  • FWS does not directly pay for tuition, and funds are only available to eligible students attending a minimum of six (6) degree applicable hours in a federal student aid eligible program.
  • The FWS award amount is based on your FAFSA results and college funding availability, which will determine the number of hours available to work while supporting the students academic goals.

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with data tracking
  • Experience in customer service environment
  • Effective written communication and organizational skills
  • Experience working in a team environment
